DESCRIPTION:L.O.S.S. (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) Teams ore o first response partnership with early responders going to the scene of a suicide death with the gool: \n\nProvide the installation of hope to the newly bereaved suicide loss\nGuide new survivors to support services and resources for\n\nThe L.O.S.S. Team consists of volunteer suicide loss survivors and empathetic individuals who con relate to newly bereaved survivors. The team is on—call 24 hours a day to assist low enforcement agencies when a suicide death occurs by supporting and helping the new survivors who hove lost their loved one to suicide. \nThis Active Postvention Model was developed by Dr. Frank Campbell whose research hos shown thot reaching survivors immediately at the time of the death shortens the amount of time they toke to reach out for help from 4.5 years (when not reached by o LOSS Team) to 39 days (when reached by a LOSS Team). \nTo receive the Zoom link for the info session email deedeescry@yahoo.com.
